ROBIOTIC GmbH, the IoT service provider, is delighted: the company has been awarded the “Digital Champions Award 2020 Southwest” and can call itself the “Best Regional Champion” of the entire region. The Digital Champions Award is the largest cross-industry award on the subject of digitalization. ROBIOTIC prevailed over the regional competition in the category “Digital Products & Services”. Thomas Krekeler, CEO of ROBIOTIC GmbH, was delighted: “This award is more than just a small accolade. The award shows that we have the right, innovative IoT solutions for our customers for the global trend towards digitalization”.

Digital X is Europe’s largest cross-industry digitalization initiative. This year it presented the regional “Digital Champions Award” for the third time. Start-ups and companies from six regions had applied for the prestigious award. “Especially in turbulent times like these, the successful benefits of digitization are clearly visible. Not only to win customers in the future, but also to inspire employees,” says Krekeler. ROBIOTIC is the joint venture founded in 2016 by the two established German technology companies TK-World AG (Paderborn) and Hoffmann+Krippner GmbH (Buchen).
The decisive factor for the jury’s decision was that the digital solutions of the participating companies helped to optimize processes. ROBIOTIC convinced the jury with an IoT (Internet of Things) project from the food sector: For a canteen kitchen company, the company combined the complete ordering process and the control of the equipment in an efficient, digital workflow. “If the food for daycare centers and school canteens fails because an important piece of equipment in the supplier’s canteen kitchen is defective, the disappointment is great. We use networked sensors to make sure that it doesn’t get that far,” Krekeler explains. “The sensors report at an early stage when an appliance part needs to be replaced. Our IoT solutions can be used in a variety of ways to digitize business models and thus make them future-proof for Industry 4.0: online trade, gastronomy, electronics, transport, medicine, public administration: we are the only service provider on the market that develops and holistically implements IoT projects for every sector and for companies of every size”.
